Wednesday Wisdom - When The Sun Comes Up, You Better Start Moving

I found this quote over 20 years ago when I was looking for extra motivation to get training done for a marathon. I still have the faded piece of paper posted next to my treadmill. While I'm not running these days, I often look at it. I miss running. I do a little trot now and then to catch kids on the cross-country course, but nothing like I have done in the past.

I am getting used to my limitations because of surgeries, medicine side effects, and aging. While I miss running, I am grateful for the other ways I can move to eliminate stress and keep my energy up. It's essential to keep moving. To keep going. To enjoy the gift of another sun up. To enjoy the gift of another day.
