Wednesday Wisdom - Hurt people hurt people

I have always been someone that is inspired by meaningful quotes, scripture, poems, movie lines, etc... I want to share my favorites with you during our time together on my page. So here we go...time for some Wednesday wisdom.

You are missing something special if you have not watched Ted Lasso on Apple TV+. It might not be for younger kids, as some adult themes exist. I've enjoyed watching it with my teenage daughter. We both love the comedy mixed with heart. One of the common themes throughout the show is the idea of someone's behavior stemming from their hurt. This is a concept I talk about a lot with my kids. You don't know what is going on in someone's life. If someone is not treating you well, it has far more to do with their own hurt than anything you have done. Hurt people hurt people. Break the cycle. Show forgiveness and empathy. You might not always get a positive response and some relationships can't be fixed, but it's about what you can control, which is your reaction to a hurtful person.
